Carol started practising yoga nineteen years ago in San Francisco and has been teaching for twelve years. She
teaches a combination of Ashtanga yoga, therapeutic yoga and a style of Hatha yoga which is influenced by the
structural knowledge of B. K.S Iyengar but which incorporates aspects from other schools. She has studied with
many of the main certified Ashtanga teachers worldwide and for the last five years has been going to India to study
with her teachers Sri Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy. She has also taken courses in Ayurveda and Yoga
Therapy in the U.S and India. Outside of Ireland, Carol has taught yoga and yoga therapeutics in London,
Cape town and San Francisco.
The philosophical and psychological aspect of yoga has always been a source of fascination and inspiration for
Carol. In addition to studying yoga philosophy, Carol also holds a B.A in western philosophy, English and
psychology from NuiGalway and a masters of philosophy from Trinity College Dublin. She will be teaching the
philosophy/ trans-personal psychology on all of the courses.
David Muehsam
David's teaching is infused with the wisdom of twenty five years experience. He teaches workshops and teacher
trainings worldwide.
He first practiced yoga in 1982, and was introduced to the method of Iyengar Yoga in 1987. In 1993 he began
practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and has received written authorization from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois to teach.
He has also completed teacher training with Richard Freeman. He also holds Certificate IV in Teacher Training
and Assessment from the Australian Government and Yoga Alliance 500 Hour certification and has been
influenced by the meditative and breathing methods of the tradition of Satyananda Saraswati.

Ken began studying at the Rolf Institute in Boulder Colorado in 1995 and is now a Certified Advanced Rolfer
and Rolfing Movement Practitioner. There, He also began studying Yoga, spending much time with one of
Patabhi Jois’s old students Richard Freeman and Anusara Yoga founder, John Friend.
Ken first went to Mysore in 2002, and is authorized to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga from his teacher Sri K.
Patabhi Jois of Mysore, India. That same year he began teaching at the Rolf institute in boulder Colorado and is
working towards becoming a faculty member.
In this decade of study, Ken has been exploring the similarities and complimentary benefits of Yoga and Rolfing in
Mysore, he practices at the AYRI (Ashtanga yoga research institute in Mysore) while Rolfing many of his fellow
dedicated yogis that also practice there. Ken’s other laboratory is in Boulder Colorado where he has studied and
taught at Richard Freeman’s ‘The Yoga Workshop´, while teaching at the Rolf Institute, and working on fellow
yogi’s there. In the four years of living in Boulder and Mysore, he has developed and taught a basic and advanced
Yoga Anatomy program that is a unique synthesis of knowledge and embodiment from both Yoga and Rolfing
practices. He presently teaches this yoga anatomy module on teacher training programmes in Europe and in the
Brahmari (previously known as Purple Valley) Centre in Goa, India. After the last two full years in Mysore, he is
leaving to teach Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga in Europe.
